The BT-100 Bio App digital lock from AGL Brasil is a modern and secure solution for homes and businesses, offering various access methods, such as biometrics, RFID tag, and mechanical key. If you have just acquired this lock or are considering purchasing it, follow these tips to ensure a quick and hassle-free installation.
1. Gather the Necessary Tools
Before starting the installation, make sure you have the following tools on hand:
Drill
Appropriate drill bits for wood or metal
Screwdriver
Measuring tape
Marking pencil
Bubble level
2. Check the Door Compatibility
The BT-100 Bio App is compatible with doors with a thickness between 35mm and 50mm. Make sure your door meets these specifications. Also, check whether the door opens inward or outward, as this may influence the installation orientation.
3. Mark the Drilling Points
Position the lock at the desired height on the door (usually between 90cm and 110cm from the ground) and use the paper template that comes with the product to mark the points where the drill holes will be made. Make sure the markings are level.
4. Make the Drill Holes
With the markings made, use the drill to make the necessary holes in the door. If the door is wooden, use a specific drill bit for wood; if it is metal, use a metal drill bit.
5. Install the Lock Body
Position the main body of the lock (external side) on the door and align it with the holes made. Next, place the internal side of the lock and secure both sides with the provided screws. Ensure both sides are well aligned and firmly secured.
6. Connect the Wires and Test the Power
Connect the power cables from the internal side of the lock and insert batteries into the appropriate compartment. After installation, test the power by turning on the lock. The BT-100 Bio App has a battery level indication in the AGL Home app, making it easy to monitor the charge.
7. Setup and Test Access Methods
After the physical installation, it’s time to configure the access methods:
Biometrics: Follow the instructions in the manual to register your fingerprints.
RFID Tag: Program the RFID tags as indicated in the manual.
Mechanical Key: Test the mechanical key to ensure it works correctly as a backup.
8. Integration with the AGL Home App
Download the AGL Home app, available on Google Play and the App Store, and follow the instructions to pair the lock with the application. With the app, you can manage access, monitor battery level, and set up temporary passwords for visitors.
9. Complete Lock Test
With everything installed and configured, conduct a complete test of the lock:
Check if the biometrics are working correctly.
Test the opening with the RFID tag.
Ensure that the mechanical key functions as well.
Check if the app is correctly displaying the lock status and battery level.
10. Maintenance and Care
To ensure the durability of the BT-100 Bio App, keep the lock clean and avoid using abrasive chemical products. Regularly check the battery level through the app and replace the batteries as needed.
